Prabhas and Salaar Set the Box Office Ablaze, Surpass Opening Day Records of Jawan with 95 Crore

In a cinematic spectacle that unfolded on December 22, the highly anticipated Prabhas-starrer Salaar, directed by the visionary Prashanth Neel, took theatres by storm, marking an extraordinary debut with a staggering INR 95 crores nett domestic earnings on its opening day in India. The film’s triumph was further underscored by an impressive 88 percent occupancy in the Telugu-speaking regions on the inaugural day.

Salaar, a cinematic extravaganza released in five languages—Hindi, Telugu, English, Tamil, and Kannada—has catapulted into the limelight, achieving a remarkable milestone with an early estimated worldwide gross of INR 175 crores, as reported by the film’s producers, Hombale Films.

The international reception of Salaar has been nothing short of phenomenal, particularly in the USA and North America, where it secured the coveted second position in the top 5 premieres gross for Indian movies.

Garnering a commendable $2.60 Million, Salaar trailed only behind the blockbuster RRR, which raked in $3.46 Million. Noteworthy entries in this illustrious list include Baahubali 2, Kabali, and Leo, with earnings of $2.45 Million, $1.92 Million, and $1.86 Million, respectively.
